I love this film. First time I saw it was in 1995 at about two in the morning as the finale to an all night horror movie binge. Damn thing scared me so bad I ended up watching an episode of Perfect Strangers to calm myself enough to get to sleep.

Even better is the next day when I was walking the tape back to my local video store, this guy jogged past me which caused me to literally jump out of my shoes.

So yeah, this film is one of my favorite Carpenter flicks. Not his best (very little can touch his early 80's output) but easily the best thing he's done in the last fifteen years.
