Seriously, those morons can’t do anything interesting with this plethora of riches?

Ant mega-colony takes over world.

I can definitely get behind the idea of MegaPiranha, especialy if it means a movie that finally delivers on the promise of this poster:

Good grief. Keep following the links and you’ll come up with enough to fuel the SyFy chanull for years:
How about Star-eater vs. Dagger-tooth? Or a new version of Warning from Space?

OK I definitely want to see the dagger-tooth in something. The description of its attack…that’s BEGGING for a gory horror movie.
And where the hell’s my gulper eel movie dammit!?

I’m really kind of serious here. Why are SyFy’s movies so generic and crappy when you have zillions of interesting stories like this you can adapt into a film?

Mega-piranha sounds cool until you consider that the thing that’s so scary about piranha is how tiny and nibbly they are. A big piranha would just bite you like a shark and then you would die. Unless they had metal teeth like the ones in Sonic the Hedgehog. They could eat a submarine!
Those worm-globes are wonderfully bizarre. I wonder if there are any plans in development for a film about killer coral.

I guess it depends on whether you see the SF channel’s
product as uniformly awful, or occasionally redeemed
by things like The Fallen Ones, or Living Hell . Now, neither of those was going to win
any awards, but I did think they tossed out interesting
threats with a measure of panache’.
No good idea can survive a thorough indifference
to story and character, which is where that channels
real sin lies.
