Well, at least it doesn’t mark any new ground for TV movies in terms of scientific accuracy… given that they seem to have referred to all arthropods as comprising “one species”…

This does indeed look several degrees of awesome. Practical effects? Check! Slime? Check! Impalement with agricultural implements? Check! Zombie-looking things? Check!
Now if they can avoid having one of those “Ultimate Special Forces Units”, you can definitely count me in!
Read: I think we can take merciless abuse of easy-to-understand scientific terms for-granted…nay, expected in sci-fi B-movies. I fully expect some reference to the bugs having “evolved” at some point during the film…

I get an Eight Legged Freaks meets Shaun of the Dead vibe off that. (Hopefully more of the latter.)
It was nice to see some practical effects in there, and the CGI didn’t look half-bad either, which is a nice surprise.
The clip makes it look like it’s a lot less “horror” than “comedy”, especially with that music. This is not necessarily a bad thing; I laughed at most of the stuff I was supposed to laugh at. It looks like it’ll be pretty good; I just hope it isn’t TOO jokey.

Actually, to be fair, the line about “one species” was in the voiceover in the trailer, not necessarily in the actual movie dialogue. So I shouldn’t really judge the movie itself by that. Though, true, even if they do make that mistake (or one comparably ludicrous) in the actual movie, it still doesn’t mean the movie couldn’t be fun anyway.
