Okay, so we’ve got a thing for rubber….
May is another B-Masters’ Roundtable month! Drop in over the next 31 days - particularly on the 31st day - as this time around we pay tribute to some of the most important people in B-Movies. Directors, writers, stars— Bah! Where would any of us be without - the guy in the suit !?
It’s RUBBER SOUL: all this month at the B-Masters’ Blog.
Liz Kingsley is the insane genius behind And You Call Yourself a Scientist!« Or maybe I’m awake, dreaming I’m asleep, wondering if I’m awake.

Was the banner supposed to link to the supersoaker? Right now it just links to itself.

As much as I love monsters (and especially kaiju eiga) I think this could potentially be one of my favorite roundtables ever. Fun!
Of course, now I have to sit around for a month and wonder what significance the 31st will have.
My instincts tell me that’s when Ms. Kingsley will be posting her contribution…

Has there been a snake Roundtable yet? I mention it because the first Thursday in May is St. Domenico’s day, patron saint of serpents and toothaches.

Lyz is probably one of the few who won’t be posting on the last day.
I’m watching my movie for this as we speak.

I suppose this means I’m supposed to “update my site” this month? Whatever.

“patron saint of serpents and toothaches”
Because venomous snakes have hollowed-out front teeth?

Oh– and the significance of the 31st is that we Cabalists are, with the exception of Nathan, master procrastinators.

1. Santo Johnson is right! That was indeed a pot-shot at my colleagues. Although I do have to give myself this: after years of trying and failing, I did finally come up with a way of getting everyone to post on the same day.
2. No, the banner isn’t meant to link anywhere yet; it’s merely a heads-up.

Hey, the 31st is my birthday–so it’s like all the reviews are presents. For me.
Awwwww yeah.

Who are you again? *ducks*
Anyways…
So you guys gave us a heads-up a month in advance? And now we have to sit, anxious, for the related reviews for 31 days?
This is like FX running those ads for Morgan Spurlock’s new season of “30 Days” months before it actually airs, but worse because I am more interested in the reviews…
You, sirs and madam, are cruel cruel bastards indeed.

Although, if we get multiple reviews from all involved, it shall be so much the more sweeter (that’s not good English, is it?).

Fear not eager readers! The team at Teleport City have been working overtime on a three pronged attack on the ‘Man In A Monster Suit’ reviews. Todd, in his quest for truth, has been clawing his way through reams of court room documents for his review. And Keith; you know he not only watches and reviews the movies, he has to live them as well, and for the ‘Man In A Monster Suit’ review this has been, quite frankly, pretty scary. I am preparing to take the step up from Shrimp Chips to a long form review, and it’s pretty daunting – but with a topic like ‘A Man In A Monster Suit’, well, how could I stay away! The Reviews will start arriving soon!

And you can count on my entry, say, next week. It will in fact be a double-tasked review, but more about that when we get to it.

…I nominate any episode of the A-Team which begins with Hannibal walking out of the water wearing his psuedogodzilla outfit then popping open the front to smoke a cigar

That was almost the banner, actually, but it was too hard to fit into a lengthwise space.

Think of it not as 30-day advanced warning, but of an entire month full of reviews, though most of them happen on the last day.
