Dude. Dark gray on black?

Anyone else having trouble reading the text on my blog page? I actually find the gray to be less of an eye-strain than bright white. This kind of feedback is appreciated.

‘Fraid I’ve gotta side with supersonic. That text is too dim against the backdrop — in the upper half of my LCD display it vanishes almost completely, and I have to highlight the text to read it. Perhaps a brighter gray (I think the old 16-color codes refer to it as “silver”).

I can’t comment, as I am still trying to figure out what would make a cute young woman in her panties, upon hearing rattling chains and moaning, get up, walk outside, and keep with her investigation as far as wandering into some horrible old barn or something.

Changing text as we speak. I just need to find my flashlight first and throw on a thong before i make my way out to the barn where my computer is.

Enjoyed the video reviews. Your zombie checklist works well in this format. Still, what happened to all the old reviews? Are they gone forever?

Regarding the old reviews - Pam and I are now divorced and I did in fact delete the old site in a moment of despair. There were a lot of graphics and such that I could have re-used in this new format, so I’m now kicking myself for it.
As to Mtn. of the Cannibal God - man, i totally forgot about that one - i think that goes back to the old SaveYourServant site. The only thing i remember about that movie is where Stacy Keach asks if someone wants a cookie.
Thanks to all for your kind words.

Plus the new format means that Steve finally has no excuse not to join in with everyone else and review Zombie Lake. In fact, I think it’s a prerequisite to Cabal membership.

Ah, so Zombie Lake is sort of like an induction rite then? That explains why everyone and their brother has reviewed it.

Uh, no. That’s just the excuse everyone uses.

What you probably need to do is adjust your monitor’s black-point and gamma, using a test pattern such as this one. Then if other people can’t read the combinations you pick, it’s because their monitor is off.
Mountain of the Cannibal God… that’s the one where Ursula Andress gets painted white, inspiring the similar scene with Bo Derek a few years later.

Slave Of The Cannibal God/Mountain Of The Cannibal God/Prisoner Of The Cannibal God is the film where Ursula Andress gets smeared with blood or mud. Initially I thought it was blood, but the blood at the start of the film is bright red – and the goop they rub over her is more brown or orange – so now I guess it may be radioactive mud – then again it could be a protype ‘fake tan’! Either way it works for me…I never linked Bo Derek’s ‘mud pack’ in Tarzan with Mountain God, but hey, when in the wild….!

Let me put my vote in for dark text on light backgrounds, or to speak in hexidecimal values, #000000 on #eeeeee.

Gangrene is back?? Oh wow. but wait. . . it’s different somehow. Are all the reviews done on video clips now? Is the old site still up? I haven’t been there in months. Well, glad to to see you back reviewing horror movies, no matter what the format.
