Will the real Captain America please stand up?
I could say that this week’s new review, 3 Dev Adam (1973) was chosen not only as part of the Cabal’s “Ottoman Empire Strikes Back” roundtable, but specifically to coincide with the unveiling of the “new” Captain America in the Marvel Universe. But no, it’s just a happy happenstance, the kind upon which my life is built.

I described Spider-Man’s outfit to a friend as being the outfit that was in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie, the first one that Peter makes himself and wears to the wrestling match. I do like that he accents it with black boots and work gloves — that’s how you know this Spider is a working class Joe, just like the rest of us.

Yeah, except for that whole green tint. At first i thought I was just watching a yellowed print, but no — when Captain America shows up, he’s all in patriotic red, white, and true-blue.
