There’s nothing I like better than an obscure joke based on an obscure joke. And thank you!

Good review. I can only hope that the turkish industry went on to faithfully remake all the sequels. Including *both* versions of the prequel.
As an aside, when I was growing up the Exorcist was banned here in Britain, but now it’s on TV fairily regularly, along with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (also banned), for children of all ages to enjoy, which just goes to prove something or other about something.

I thought that head-spinning scene was going to be The Single Funniest Thing You had Ever Seen Presented Seriously In A Motion Picture. That still alone nearly had me busting a gut.
I was unsure about the scene you chose for that at first. However, after trying to picture it, I started cackling (I think your description helped in this regard) and now I find myself determined to track this down, because I can only imagine it’s even funnier than what my brain came up with. Along with the “gee it’s dark now while things are flying, I wonders why” scenes near the end.

Yes, you must see it if you can: it’s an action scene, so words and pictures can only do so much. It’s also the way it comes completely out of the blue with no sort of lead-up….and the fact that this is, I think, the only moment in Seytan that has no precedent in either the novel or the film. THIS they did themselves.
