Return To Eden has a dowdy heiress being married for her money and apparently murdered - she gets her face bitten off by a crocodile - and then coming back surgically enhanced to take revenge. It was one of the highlights of my teen years, but at this distance I couldn’t say whether it was truly Jabootu-worthy.

Well, that’s the issue, and I have a nasty suspicion the answer is yes - I think I remember it being treated rather like our version of Dynasty - so it’s probably not as funny as if it were all done with a straight face. (Although it may nevertheless be awful.)
