I AR SERYUS ACTUR...Dawn of the Living Dead (2004)

OK: Look at the title. Just… look at it.

Eurrgh. This is the sort of project that fully deserves the LOLZombie treatment.

Will Laughlin is the Braineater.

« There’s my zombie review, Lyz. Ok? **OK?!!!**

Aaaand the cherry on top of my Month of the Living Dead. »

Ooh! I had hoped to get to this one this year; I appreciate you jumping on that particular grenade.

Yeah humorless coupled with a hilariously bad production is that David Heavener touch. He’s made a cottage industry of trying to be the next Stallone, well maybe Norris, aw hell Dudikoff? Certainly I can be that, right guys? I’d recommend his insane opus Outlaw Prophet. In which he is an alien, or a frequency, or the messiah or something. And his character stars in a galatic Running Man type show run by an evil producer who turns out to be Satan. He escapes to earth befriends a little girl and discovers Christianity. And he defeats Satan, who can turn into a wispy stuntman, and stops the rapture, or gets raptured, or something. And no, I did not make any of that up.

You know, sometime one of you guys/gals/reviewer persons will review a film and absolutely slate it and it makes me want to see it. In fact sometimes the more you dislike it, the more I want to watch it.

I don’t think that tv here shows enough outrageously bad stuff (it’s mostly bad in a mundane kind of way), and I’m not crazy enougth to buy them/

The viewing of any single David Heavener film will forever inoculate you against that.

I’m pretty sure that this feature was not, in fact, what Willis was talkin’ ’bout.

Awesome, Will.

I do like the fact that the title manages to rip off _two_ Romero movies.

With a title like that, it had BETTER. You’d hate to pop it in and find out it’s a gritty coming-of-age film set in working-class Ireland.

Hmm…How could we rip off 3? “From Dusk till Dawn of the Next Day of the Living Dead.” Three Romero films and a Robert Rodriguez as a bonus.

From an actual conversation I heard many years ago when i used to bother going to the Chiller Theater convention:

Guy in denim shorts and black t shirt: “What if Jason was in a Romero zombie movie? Friday the 13th meets Dawn of the Dead!”
Other guy in denim shorts and black t shirt: “…yeah…I’d want to see that.”
